Tricks and tips to get the very best rental experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- To book the most suitable rental for your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Some property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to pick the best vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. Ocean Front Two Bedroom Condo, Myrtle Beach (2148646) has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the property management company before reserving the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you love, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
Tips for a smooth stay:
- We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of issues.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's stay, record any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the rental manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to stimulate more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
