How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To find the most suitable rental within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Planning and picking the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Select vacation dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. C-8 - Make Family Memories in the Sun has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before reserving the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
Advice for a smooth stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your .
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many issues.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- To make sure no damages are linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to inspire more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
