Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a rental home:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Book your rental home in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Start by choosing the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Wake Up to Waves! Oceanview\/Dogs Ok! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If not, call the host before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your family.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Have a wonderful stay:
- Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many issues.
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- During arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
