How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, consider changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Owners sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which often include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Narrow your Search:
- Choose vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Caravelle Resort Ocean View Suite - Double rooms has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the host before booking your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.
Considerations for your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Note any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to propel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
