Myrtle Beach rental booking tips and tricks:
When to go & When to book:
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- To find the largest rental within budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
- Property managers often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for local tours and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- To start, have your family commit to the best dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Gorgeous Ocean View Villa - 1bd\/1ba (11405) has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before you reserve your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
More tips for your visit:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of concerns.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would at home.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the property manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific source for finding the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to propel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
