How to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Summer is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your rental property in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Select your vacation week and maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Carolina Grande Resort - 2BR Suite w\/ Balcony has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
- Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.
Advice for a smooth stay:
- Add the host's contact info to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the rental manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many concerns.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
