How to book the best vacation property experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- To get the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Choose your vacation week and maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Coastal Getaway 4th Flr 3BR Angle Ocean View Condo has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually available online. Otherwise, email the property owner before reserving the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what bed configuration is best for your family.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Advice for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- Record any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if there is a dispute.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a wonderful stay? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
