Tips to get the very best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Sticking to your rental home budget:

  • Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to pick the best rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • Select dates and max budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Carolina Grande Resort - 2BR Suite w\/ Balcony has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is usually available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before reserving the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what is optimal for your vacation family.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you crave, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges may be applied to your contract.

Tips for a great stay:

  • Put the host's information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. message the property manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your peace. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to compel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
