Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips:
Cost saving strategies:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Booking your vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Filter your rental search:
- Start by choosing your trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Beachy Oceanfront 3 Bedroom Condo 12th Floor has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property manager before booking the rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your group.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
Tips to have a terrific stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- To make sure damages are not linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. text the host right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a terrific vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
