Tips to get the very best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites often offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain deals for nearby shops and restaurants.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration you need. Carolina Grande Resort - 2BR Suite w\/ Balcony has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the host before booking the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
- If your family is bringing pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
- Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Additional considerations:
- We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would at home.
- During arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
