Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
When to visit & When to book:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, try shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, travel guides have money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Select vacation week and budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Close to award winning golf courses and beaches has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before you book the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you crave, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or applied to your invoice.
Some things to know before you go:
- Add the host's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Make a record of any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
