Booking the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have coupons for nearby shops and restaurants.
Planning and choosing the perfectrental:
- Start by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. Coastal Bliss Ocean View 2BR Condo on 15th Floor has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available online. If you don't see them listed, email the host before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you love, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
Tips for a fantastic stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Speak to the host immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a excellent vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
