Tricks and tips to get the best rental experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Book your rental in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Some hosts offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.
Make a plan and choose yourrental home:
- Select your dates and spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Coastal Luxury: 4th Floor Oceanfront 4BR Condo has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property owner before booking your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain damages aren't linked to your visit, record any problem areas during check in. Contact the property manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
