Myrtle Beach vacation rental home tips:
Cost saving strategies:
- The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Reserve your rental home in Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.
How to choose and book your Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and select a budget.
- M2303 has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before booking your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is best for your vacation.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
During your stay:
- Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many difficulties.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Document any issues with the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if damages are assessed.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent source for finding the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to propel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
