Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- To get the best value, change your vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Begin by choosing a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Ocean Lakes Oasis - 4 Lg Bdrms (2 Primary Suites) has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the property management company before you reserve the property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what is right for your vacation group.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
More considerations for your visit:
- Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the host right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to inspire future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
