Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
When to go & When to book:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the largest rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Finding the best rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Comfy 3BR Hidden Gem in a perfect quiet location. has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you book your home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the host right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few concerns.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to stimulate new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
