Tips to get the best rental experience:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your rental home in the Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Owners sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain discounts for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Myrtle Beach Condo in Kingston Property steps away from Ocean, pool, food & fun has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before booking the home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what is best for your family.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • Document any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to propel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
