Tricks and tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the largest rental home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Make a plan and choose your Myrtle Beach rental:

  • First and foremost, have your family decide on trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Myrtle Beach Condo in Kingston Property steps away from Ocean, pool, food & fun has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible online. If not, call the host before booking the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the property manager's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Call the rental manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to stimulate new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
