Booking the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Book your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property management companies offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your search:

  • Select a group leader, select your trip dates, and select a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Conveniently located condo walkable to beach with pool, WiFi, W\/D & central AC has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before reserving the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you are enamored with, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Store the owner's information in your smartphone.
  • Note any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
