Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- To find the largest rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby tours and attractions.
Make a plan and pick your prefect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Begin by selecting potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Cozy 2-bedroom dog friendly townhome in Myrtle Beach, walking distance to beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you book the vacation property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what is optimal for your vacation.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
Advice for a smooth stay:
- Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- At Check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to propel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
