Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best vacation home within your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing the best vacation rental:

  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Cozy cute 3BR\/2BTH house in Ocean Lakes Campground\n\n\n has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you reserve the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or applied to your invoice.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking

Some things to know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Document any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation home. Please be objective.
