How to book the best rental experience:
Getting the most from your spending budget:
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, try changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers usually offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have offers and deals for local accommodations and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Begin by selecting your trip dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. New Listing!! 7th Floor Oceanfront & Center + Beach Locker! Book Now! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
- Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
Know before you go:
- We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
- Upon check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of concerns.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a fantastic time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
