How to book the best vacation rental experience:
Finding the best value:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, change your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Filter your rental search:
- Start by selecting your trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Dazzling Seaside Elegance Oceanfront Suite 6th Flr has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property manager before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what is optimal for your vacation.
- Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
Have a fantastic stay:
- We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Upon check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be respectful. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a great stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
