Finding the best rental home experience:
Getting the best value:
- To find the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Choosing the perfect rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by choosing your trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Denny Cove, NEW 2023 BUILD, 3 Bdr 2 Ba in Ocean Lakes has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property manager before reserving your rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is best for your group.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Add the owner's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Upon arrival, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great ratings to drive more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
