How to book the best rental home experience:
How to get the best value:
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- To find the best value, shift your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have discounts for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
How to choose and book your prefectrental:
- Select dates and max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Direct Ocean Front Studio with Endless Views Palace Resort 302 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking websites. If not, email the property management company before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is right for your trip.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
- Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
More tips for your visit:
- Add the property manager's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- During check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to drive future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
