Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To book the best rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- Hosts sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Filter your rental search:
- Start by choosing vacation dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Direct Ocean Front Studio with Endless Views Palace Resort 302 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking websites. If not, call the property owner before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what is optimal for your vacation group.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
Tips for a smooth stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many problems.
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- Note any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute arises.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to propel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
