Strategies to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best rental home within your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain coupons for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Choosing the best rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- To start, have your group agree to a vacation week and a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. 1BR Sand Dunes Villas with Ocean View , Low Floor! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what configuration is suitable for your group.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- If your group is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Advice for your stay:
- Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- During arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would at home.
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a wonderful time? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
