Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Sticking to your budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to select the perfect rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose your dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Beautiful Direct Oceanfront 2bd2ba Amazing views 5th floor Best location! pools has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the host before you reserve your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or costs applied to your agreement.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you love, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Considerations for your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of problems.
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- During arrival, note any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
