How to book the best rental experience:

Sticking to your budget:

  • Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

How to select the best rental in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • Select dates and spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Little Piece of Heaven, 2 Bdr 1 Ba in Ocean Lakes! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. If not, email or call the host before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. text the host immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
