How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Finding the best value:
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the largest rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Choosing the best vacation home:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Direct Oceanfront, In the middle of happening area has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you book the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs might be applied to your agreement.
Tips to have a terrific stay:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain no damages are attributed to your visit, record any problem areas during check in. Speak to the property manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few issues.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental while you're away. Keep your property safe!
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a great time? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
