How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Find your perfect rental:
- To find the best value, change your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, , and reduced traffic.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain discounts for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Filter your rental search:
- To start, have your group decide on vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Heavenly Oceanfront Relaxing Penthouse! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before you reserve the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Does your group require specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Tips for a great stay:
- Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Record any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if there is a dispute.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of issues.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a wonderful stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
