Strategies to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, selecting, and booking the perfect Myrtle Beach rental:

  • First and foremost, have your group choose trip dates and a max budget.
  • M1606 has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you crave, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

Have a great stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas upon check in. Contact the property manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to drive future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
