Booking the best vacation rental experience:

Sticking to a budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring is a good way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, picking, and booking the bestrental home:

  • Begin by choosing trip dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Luxury Oceanfront 3 Bedroom at Sandy Beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property management company before booking the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Does your group require special amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • If your group is bringing pets, search for a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . Store the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Document any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to drive new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
