Tips and Tricks to get the very best rental home experience:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Booking in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have offers and deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Choosing the perfect vacation home in Myrtle Beach:

  • Choose your dates and spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. Fantastic Ocean View Condo With 2 Full Beds has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. If not, reach out to the host before you book the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations:

  • We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Upon check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
