Tricks and tips for getting the perfect vacation home experience:
Find your perfect vacation home:
- Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best rental within your budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
- The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines have discounts for local tours and attractions.
Choosing the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:

- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Fantastic Ocean View in a beautifully decorated and UPDATED FIRST FLOOR condo ! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before reserving your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.
Know before you go:
- Add the owner's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, note any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the host right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to stimulate new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
