Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Finding the best rental home value:
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- To get the most suitable rental for your budget, we suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to select the perfect rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- First, have your family choose trip dates and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Free State Parks Pass-Ground Floor-Free Parking has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before you book the home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.
- Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
During your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few issues.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
- During check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good feedback to stimulate new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
