How to book the best rental experience:
Sticking to your rental budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is a good way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for local shops and restaurants.
How to choose the perfect rental home:
- Start by selecting your vacation dates and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. FullCondo\/Grande Cayman Resort N. Ocean Blvd. kbed has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your group is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
More tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Upon arrival, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a fantastic time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
