CANCELLATION POLICY:

We have no interest in keeping money without delivering a service! If you need to cancel last min., we will do our best to (1) rebook you at a time that works for both of us; and if that is not possible (2) try to fill your original reservation and return your money to you. We try to be as flexible as possible, balancing the fact that last min. cancellations leave us no chance to book with someone else.
Sorry to be this stringent, we literally had 3 people cancel longer-term reservations at the last min. over the past 2-years and lost renting those weeks/month (frustrating). We recommend buying trip insurance if you are very concerned about cancelling.

Tips and Tricks for getting the best vacation home experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, try shifting your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites typically offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for local accommodations and attractions.
Planning and choosing a perfectrental home:
- First, have your group select date ranges and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Golf and Beach Getaway in Myrtle Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking websites. If not, email the property manager before booking the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges applied to your agreement.
- Looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many difficulties.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
- Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to drive new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
