CANCELLATION POLICY:

We have no interest in keeping money without delivering a service! If you need to cancel last min., we will do our best to (1) rebook you at a time that works for both of us; and if that is not possible (2) try to fill your original reservation and return your money to you. We try to be as flexible as possible, balancing the fact that last min. cancellations leave us no chance to book with someone else.
Sorry to be this stringent, we literally had 3 people cancel longer-term reservations at the last min. over the past 2-years and lost renting those weeks/month (frustrating). We recommend buying trip insurance if you are very concerned about cancelling.

Tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your vacation home in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some owners offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- First and foremost, have your group decide on a vacation week and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Golf and Beach Getaway in Myrtle Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking websites. If not, contact the property owner before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Record any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of issues.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a great time? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
