Strategies to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

Sticking to your rental budget:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best rental home within budget, we highly recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting and booking yourrental:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Golf Course & Pool View in the Heart of Myrtle Beach, SC-Magnolia Pointe has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you crave, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Considerations for your stay:

  • Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of problems.
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • During arrival, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent stay? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
