How to find the best vacation rental experience:
Get the best value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- To find the best value, try shifting your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
How to choose and book yourrental home:
- Select your vacation dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Completely remodeled, 104 Brighton, has full access to all resort amenities!! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before booking the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Some things to know before you go:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- During check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a terrific time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
