Tips to get the best vacation rental experience:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your vacation in the Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting the perfect rental in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • Begin by choosing a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Gorgeous Lake View Corner-Unit Condo in Magnolia Pointe has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Upon check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great reviews to propel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
