Tips and Tricks to get the optimal rental experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- To find the best value, change your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting the best rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Select vacation week and maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Magnolia Pointe Luster Leaf 4851-301 has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before reserving the rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is optimal for your trip.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you crave, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
Some things to know before you go:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Contact the host immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of concerns.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your vacation home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a terrific stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
