Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Booking in Spring or Fall is a good way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Some hosts offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Property managers typically offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain coupons for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Filter your rental search:
- Begin by selecting potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Gorgeous Ocean View King Suite w\/ Balcony + Beach Access has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before reserving the rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is right for your family.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Does your family require unique amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
Have a great stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of problems.
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- Upon check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to propel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
