Tricks and tips for getting the best vacation property experience:

Sticking to a spending plan:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides have offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Selecting and booking a perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Start by having your group decide on the best dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. A Place at the Beach III on the Ocean \/ Shore Drive - COMPLETELY RENOVATED has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible online. If they are not listed, call the property owner before booking your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking

Tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to compel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
