Myrtle Beach rental booking tips and tricks:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To find the best vacation home for your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning and picking a perfectrental home:
- First and foremost, have your group choose a vacation week and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Gorgeous Ocean View Suite w\/ Private Balcony and Access to all On-site Amenities has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property owner before you book the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is best for your vacation family.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs applied to your agreement.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
Additional considerations:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of problems.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Contact the property manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to inspire new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
