Strategies to get the best rental home experience:
Get the most from your spending budget:
- The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- To find the best vacation home within budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have money saving offers on nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Planning, selecting, and booking your Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. 6th Floor Oceanfront Snowbird Friendly Studio w\/ AC, Pool\/Hot Tub, WiFi has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available online. If they are not listed, contact the host before you reserve your rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a single event? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
More considerations:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many concerns.
- Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- To make sure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the property manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to propel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
