Tips and Tricks to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Getting the best value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- To get the best value, shift your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain money saving offers on nearby tours and attractions.
Planning and choosing the bestrental:
- Choose vacation dates and spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Gorgeous Oceanfront 1 Bedroom King has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking websites. If not, call the property manager before you book your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
More tips for your visit:
- We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many problems.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
- To make sure damages aren't attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the host right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
