Getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Sticking to your spending budget:
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing and booking yourrental home:
- Choose your dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. GORGEOUS RESORT and CONDO! Steps to the Beach! Ask about SPECIAL winter rates!\n has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking pages. If not, call the property owner before booking the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is right for your vacation.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or could be applied to your agreement.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
More considerations for your visit:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few problems.
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Document any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Be respectful. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to compel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
