Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips and tricks:

Money saving strategies:

  • To find the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to pick the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • Select a group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Perfect Vacation walk to the beach (4) has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before you reserve your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the rental manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to inspire future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
