Myrtle Beach vacation rental booking tips:

Find your perfect rental home:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To get the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides have money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Planning and picking the best Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • First and foremost, have your family select dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Great Ocean Views!! - 10th Floor Landmark Resort has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. If not, call the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

Advice for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Record any damages to the property at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to propel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
