How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best rental home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have discounts for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Narrow your Search:
- Select vacation week and maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. GREAT ON BEACH LOCATION!! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible online. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you book the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- Looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- To make sure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to propel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
