Hotel Rooms, One- and two-bedroom suites and villas are ideal for family stays at this resort, where colorful pastel buildings, nautical villa décor and a wrap-around porch at the clubhouse exude a beachy, low-country appeal.

The Space:
There’s plenty to do at Harbour Lights without even venturing to the close by Grandiose Strand–the local term for the 60+ miles of beach that stretch from Myrtle Beach nearly to Charleston. Bicycle or walk along photogenic winding pathways, past lakes where anglers can cast a line. Grab a float and work on your tan as you passively glide along on the resort's lazy river. Savor a exhilarating dip in the infinity-edge pool, and grab a refreshment at the poolside snack bar afterwards, or appreciate a calming hot tub soak. There are even mushroom fountains and a kiddie pool just for the kids to savor! The resort also has an activities program for kids that will help keep them entertained, too.

Strategies for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Get the most from your rental budget:

  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • To find the best value, consider changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain offers and deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Planning and choosing a perfectvacation home:

  • Choose vacation dates and spending budget.
  • 1-Bedroom Suite has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine which bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you love, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

Some things to know before you go:

  • Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of issues.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Note any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
